PAGE IS STILL UNDER CONSTUCTION
Blacksmithing is a bit different because it includes both weapon crafting and heavy armor crafting.
Both heavy armor and weapon crafting use the same ingots for the same levels ranges as seen below:
You start out with one point in each of the crafting professions.
Creating, deconstructing and improving items levels your crafting skills.
Once you reach certain levels, you can choose to apply your skill points to passive crafting skills.
NOTE: To be able to craft items beyond the first tier, you must apply skill points to the Metalworking skill.
Heavy Armor and Melee Weapons
Heavy armor and melee weapons can be crafted by a Blacksmith.
Both have basically the same flow of construction.

Gathering the Resources
Blacksmithing requires metal ingots to make items. To make ingots , you need to refine the raw ore you gather in the world.
To do so, use the Blacksmithing Refine Menu and add raw ore (10 pieces at a time), then hit Refine.
To make these, you need to smelt/refine ore you gather in the world.
To do so, use the Blacksmith Refine Menu and add raw ore (10 pieces at a time), then hit Refine.
One of the nice things about crafting in ESO is that you can take items you’ve earned and deconstruct them for materials.
You can also deconstruct items you’ve crafted so that you can apply a new style-stone, but be aware that deconstructing does not yield the same amount of materials it takes to create the item in the first place.
BE CAREFUL! Items in your bank are also available to deconstruct from the crafting station.
Once you are at a crafting station you can bring up the crafting UI. Creation is the second icon.
In the Creation UI there are 4 columbs. TYPE , MATERIAL, STYLE , TRAIT
Third, choose your style. Each item is available in 14 different styles.
Each Style has its own patterns that are located in containers scattered randomly throughout the world.
By default you will know the your specific Race style.
Once the pattern for a style is learned then you need to use the style-specific stone.
NOTE: The look of the item will change subtlely as your character increases in level (ie, the colors will change).
Last, choose the trait you want the item to have (optional).
To apply the trait to an item, you will need one of the following stones that is consumed upon use.
You can obtain these stones from gathering ore, opening containers or deconstructing items.
Please see the Research section of this guide for information on how to learn Traits.
